Prevues-A Fashion Fetish

Since first moving to Sacramento, I've been extremely interested in checking out the local vintage and thrift stores. But as life moves as quickly as it does, I just hadn't gotten around to going on that particular scavenger hunt. However, as luck would have it, both Jenna and I discovered the mothership of vintage stores!

We were driving down K street when we happened to see an oddly painted shop with clothing out front and a sign boasting VINTAGE CLOTHING above the door. I knew I had to stop when on the racks outside, I spotted sequins glittering right next to a bumblebee getup. Just seeing that stark contrast alone made by brain scream, GET IN THERE QUICK!

Once stepping into Prevues, you really are swept away into a treasure trove. They have absolutely everything you could want from a vintage thrift shop! One whole section alone is dedicated to clothing from each decade for the past 50 years. We discovered a whole 60s homemaker section alone. There are authentic cowboy boots, accessories galore, and more diverse bling than E-40 on show day. I was even ecstatic to find a whole complete collection of Ben Nye makeup at a super discounted price! I mean, what more can a girl ask for? Not only can you play dress up with clothes and accessories, but also screw around with makeup! Now be forewarned that not everything is priced at bargain finds, but with ample time, digging, and an open mind, you can be sure of walking away with some mighty good loot!

I ended up sauntering happily out of Prevues with 2 dresses, one of which is an authentic Milly's from New York, and Ben Nye makeup for a grand total of: $65
